THE INNOVATIVE NO·NEW 2006 - BUILT OUT OF EVERYDAY CONTEXT

The design of CONTENANCE is the result of two basic needs or
requirements named in the context of office chairs - and actually one
solution does cause the other, in this case.

It`s quite obvious, that movements of the body do affect movements of
the brain, the emergence of thoughts and that way, the development of
ideas.
But when you take a look at most of the working conditions you`ll
notice: The only parts of the body that are moving are fingertips and
eyeballs.

And yes: Most of the offices feel kind of akinesic.
And yes: About one third of us has constant trouble with
his or her`s back.
And yes: Healthy bones and muscles of your back permit
an upright position
And yes: This could lead to a straight way of thinking - I suggest.

Searching for an ergonomic combination of sitting and moving, I
remembered my well trained back and my swift mind while I was
practising dressage riding. The following design and development can
be named as a processing I like.

Since nothing that is can be new - but everything is constantly novel
newly arranged, CONTENANCE is apparently made of ready-mades only.
An easy and natural combination of elements, that are product-related to
saddles and chairs. CONTENANCE does accomplish all the preferences of modern ergonomic chairs and causes a permanent training of the muscles that are shoring the backbone.
